Renowned bassist, composer, and bandleader Marcus Shelby is joined by his orchestra to perform PORT CHICAGO, a musical suite inspired by the black sailors of Port Chicago Naval Magazine. The suite evokes the World War 2 era when swing, ballads, and blues music were the soundtrack of American life.
